Well currently, the leaderboard is been scored on Week 48 & 49. So It would have been ideal to wait for Week 49 values to be out and re-scored it on board. What will happen next week, when week 49 value is out is that the leaderboard will be re-scored and you will move on to predicting week 50 and week 51. Given that 2weeks of predictions are made at any given time. It make sense to only re-scored to the board when values for both weeks are out. That will be done going forward.
