Hi everyone,

We have just been made aware of a data leak in this competition. The CSVs injuries2016_2019 and vehicles2016_2019 contained rows that pertain to 2019 incidents. We have now uploaded new files that exclude the 2019 rows.

Because this competition has real-world applications, it is critical to Zindi and SANRAL that the solutions do not make use of the accident data from 2019.

This is to officially notify you that we are amending the rules of this competition to state that the top 10 winning solutions must NOT make use of this data leak.

We are extending this competition for an extra week. Please note that at the end of the competition, the top 10 on the leaderboard will have to submit their code for review to ensure that this 2019 data was not used in their solutions.

We realize that not everyone on the leaderboard has used this data. We kindly ask you to notify us at zindi@zindi.africa if you have so that we can disqualify those specific submissions.

We apologize for this inconvenience and we thank you for your support and understanding as we ourselves continue to strive to ensure a quality experience for our community and for our competition hosts.

Please contact us at zindi@zindi.africa if you have any questions.

Hello Zindi ,

Well first thank you for your quick reaction.

Second , I think that in this situation no one can really know his real ranking in the leadeboard , even if you will check every notebook for the top 10 in the leaderboard after the competition but every competitor have to know it's own ranking and check others improvements and see it's situation in the leaderboard and how much he is far from others . So , I propose that you delete completely this leaderboard so that we all have same chances .

Thank you.

Hi, there's a folder inside the SANRAL_v3 named Vehicle detection sensor(VDS) that still included 2019 data

Yes, that is correct.

Hello Zindi,

Can we use the data with 2019 in Vehicle detection sensor(VDS) Data inside SANRAL_v3??
