The manager of an environment monitoring project related to land use is looking for a R Shiny Specialist who can support the project by putting an R model into production. This is an individual grantee project funded by Microsoft's AI for Earth initiative. The successful candidate will be a highly self-motivated individual who has interest and experience in machine learning for earth observation data.
The main goal is to develop a dashboard, with maps/graphs/stats and perhaps an API. End users should be able to upload training data which will be ingested by the machine learning model with the ultimate output being classified maps.
As a specialist you'll work with time series satellite images & other spatial data towards a machine learning workflow. There's also a possibility of using cloud computing capabilities.
The renumeration is negotiable with the right candidate. Time dedicated to work is also flexible.
