0.028 rmse value on the leaderboard!!!! How possible is this?? Is external data really of help?

Discussion 14 answers

No, it's not possible. This result is just an interpolation of an existing raster. Since I had confusion regarding approximate dates of the impact it was decided to make a probing with this raster file. I'll contact ZINDI regarding the deletion of this score from the scoresheet

Oh! I see. Kindly contact Zindi as soon as possible

@WaReal, already done, no worries!

@WaReal, seems LB has already been updated! At least for me I can see previous standings

Yes. It has been updated. May the Best Model Win!!

Yes! Good luck with the last mile of flood prediction :)

You need to put more grease to your elbows to be on top of the Leaderboard

Sorry for that but I think that you should be disqualified since you now you have an idea about the target distribution and you can implement that in your model in a tricky way and this is clear since you were 200+ on the leaderboard and now you jumped straight to the top 15 on the leaderboard!

Well, if zindi decides so - okay. Just to be clear - we didn't break any rules, it was not known beforehand that the inclusion of this feature would produce this score, hence, it was decided to report it to zindi immediately and drop it from a feature set. Again, it's laying in the Additional datasets list, so everyone with the high score can be suspect of using it
