Answer: Customers are busineses or a person who makes a purchase of goods or services from another company, firm or an organization. Customers are crucial because they generate revenue and without them company, firm, or an organization would not be able to survive. So in short without customers companies are as good as dead.

Individuals earn an income and businesses make profit/loss so I would say the customers are individuals for this challenge.
