I’ve seen this happen before on Zindi. In most cases, the “unexpected error occurred during scoring” message is caused by an issue with the submission itself rather than your code logic.

A few things you might want to double-check:

• Make sure the submission file format and column names exactly match the competition requirements
• Verify there are no NaN, inf, or missing values in your predictions
• Check that the file encoding and delimiter are correct
• Ensure the number of rows matches the test set

If everything looks fine on your end, it could also be a temporary backend issue. In that case, waiting a bit and resubmitting often works. If the error keeps happening, it’s best to report it to the competition hosts or Zindi support with your submission ID.
