Pre training included in the 8 hours training time limit ?

Hello,
I have seen there was a training time limit of 8 hours with a P100 gpu. I was wondering if pretraining ourself a model (using the data given by zindi) or embedding is included in the 8 hours training ?
Great question! From my understanding, the 8-hour training time limit usually refers to the total time for training a model, including pretraining and any fine-tuning or embedding processes. If you're pretraining a model using the provided data, that would likely count toward the 8-hour limit as well. It’s important to clarify with the platform’s documentation or support team to confirm the specifics, as different systems may have different definitions of what’s included in the training time. But in general, yes, pretraining would typically be part of that time frame.
Pretraining a model from scratch is part of the training process. So the 8 hours will need to include that part.
I see thanks for the reply!
