Based on discussions and my understanding of the organizers' needs I have decided to model the energy consumption as a static relation between the load and other equipment characteristics.

This means I did not use any date features (hour of the day etc.) nor lagged energy consumption data.

Could you share if you used a similar approach and your best LB score obtained?

I cannot manage to do better than ~2.8 on the LB with this
