About 'season' column in test

Can we use the 'season' column for prediction? According to the official description of the application scenario, it seems that the model will be applied to different years in the future (e.g., 2022, 2023, etc.). However, the test set also provides information about the seasons in 2020 and 2021, which seems to be useful for making predictions. This is causing some confusion for me.
It does seem a bit problematic. Likely would give slightly better results than might be available at the beginning of new years.
Instead, we could maybe try using only the rain amount, i.e. SR vs. LR
