Important Dates:
Your Next Steps:
-
Read the application challenge guidelines and rules for participants: Begin by thoroughly reading the BSA Application Challenge Participation Guidelines. Download the document at the BSA Application Challenge portal on https://itu.int/en/ITU-T/dfs/seclab/Pages/challenge.aspx
-
Create or join a team: Proceed to form or join a team, to do this, follow this link: https://zindi.africa/competitions/itu-digital-financial-services-blockchain-secure-authentication-application-challenge/team
-
BSA Application Challenge Server Request Form (if needed): For teams lacking the necessary infrastructure to develop the Digital Wallet Application, the Team Leader may request virtual server access by filling in this form immediately after creating a team. Before requesting for access please ensure you have read and understood the server provision guide.
-
Client Key Receipt: After you have joined or created a team, keep an eye out for the unique client key required for the application development for the application challenge. Teams requesting server access will receive further details accordingly.
-
Share FCM token with ITU and app package name: The Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) SDK generates a distinct registration token for every individual instance of a client application. It is essential to include the app package name and the FCM token in your JSON submission and ensure it is communicated to ITU for seamless integration with the BSA. Detailed guidance on generating this key can be found here. Email your token to dfsappchallenge@itu.int. In your email, include the participant’s names, team name and email address.
-
Bootcamp Participation: Lookout for the BSA application challenge bootcamps schedule in the Competition Info page: The bootcamps provide an opportunity to learn more about the BSA app challenge and address questions regarding the problem statements and the SDKs provided.
For any queries please make use of the discussion board.
Good Luck,
