Issue - Can't get AccessToken

Dear Team,
We are having issues with getting accessToken after a successful sign in (Device Registration)
The documentation does not clearly state after which authentication can the SdkUtil.getAccessToken() successful return the accessToken and how to pass this accessToken to the make further calls to the API functions, kindly clarify when the accessToken is returned and how it is further used in the in-app authentication process.
