Hi everyone! Thank you for the great engagement on this competition. Submissions are closing on Sunday night.
Please note:
The final private leaderboard score will be updated only in June and will be evaluated on the actual data from 19 April 2020 to 8 June 2020. So please make sure to use your models to project 7 weeks.
We will not be updating the public leaderboard today as we have only a few more days left.
The spirit of this challenge was to introduce new voices and perspectives into this type of modelling exercise, and to see if we could come up with new insights that could help in the battle against COVID-19. We hope it has also been an opportunity for Zindians to learn and build their skills.
In that spirit, after this Sunday, we ask that you please share you solutions, ideas, and code on GitHub or elsewhere so we can continue to exchange knowledge and perhaps these solutions may contribute to solutions around the world. Thank you.
Thanks for the update Zindi. Will countries and days with 0 death also be evaluated in the private board? My suggestion is to keep all predictions regardless of the value. This will eliminate complexities
Thank you.
However predicting for 49 days for such a short series is a huge task....
Thank you for the wonderful experience!
It would be nicer if you could atleast update the data please!
Hi Davie. How can I reach you via email or WhatsApp?
It´s not clear to me. Today, if I try submit a file with data between 19 April 2020 and 8 June 2020, I receive a message error: "Missing entries for IDs Afghanistan X 4/2/20, Afghanistan X 4/3/20, Afghanistan X 4/4/20, Afghanistan X 4/5/20, Afghanistan X 4/6/20 and more"
Another question: the original notebook create a file with start='2020-03-06', end='2020-06-07'. The new start and end will be '2020-04-19' and '2020-06-08'? It´s 51 days and not 7 weeks.
Thanks
j'ai le meme problème comment vous avez résolu ce prb????
I am waiting for an answer, but for now I kept my original program according to the initial rules established
For the final evaluation you need to provide predictions for 19 April 2020 to 8 June 2020, inclusive. Even if you get the error message, your submission will still be evaluated. To appear on the current public leaderboard, you can include predictions for all the dates starting from 2 April 2020. (Though we recognize and assume that you have access to the most up-to-date public data from JHU, so these predictions will not affect the final score in June.)
Correct it is 51 days, not 49 days.
Ok, thank you
