I'm noticing a slight difference between the national index CPI numbers that were provided in the files (and on the StatsSA site) versus what can be found on OCED (https://stats.oecd.org/index.aspx?DataSetCode=PRICES_CPI#). Ie. the CPI value for Food and non-alcoholic beverages in March, 2023 is 116.7, but on OCED it shows 116.9. Anyone know why there could be a difference?
The difference comes from the fact that the CPI numbers provided in the files (and on the StatsSA site) are CPI for all urban areas, but the CPI numbers on OCED are CPI for total country.
