btw I see you are doing really very well in the CPI minis - congrats. Also, the network fault one, I just started with it, with less than a week to go! Bit of a disaster for me at the moment, but I see you got a real great score in that one. I'm wondering ... what are they teaching you over there in Nairobi? Come on, time to share the good stuff around ...
Tell me, which of all of zindi was your best comp? Not best score, but best experience?
Thanks @skaak for sharing the links and the heads-up about the upcoming release of the real numbers- you saved me the trouble of checking haha.
..I appreciate your kind words about my performance in the CPI minis and the network fault challenge so far. Hoping to see better performance in the June/August minis before we start the huge one.. I am also sure you will catch up with us in the the network fault challenge in the remaining few days, I expect strong competition as we come to a close soon.
As for my best Zindi competition experience, I have to say it's hard to pick just one. Each competition has brought its own unique challenges and learning opportunities. If I were to choose, it would probably be my first ever on Zindi:Zindi New User Engagement Prediction Challenge - Zindi.
Yea, seen that you are nicely climbing the leaderboard. Its like I hit a brick wall, all new ideas seem not to work currently..this is a fascinating competition indeed.
That one in particular is easy to make a mistake in! I just fillna with the average and was amazed how many fills I did after I started counting them, and so discovered quite a few mistakes ...
At least I don't have much time, so I am just rushing to find something that will work quickly and relatively good. I did a few tests initially and am pursuing just one or two avenues of attack, both quite simple fwiw.
But wow!!! After lots of hard work and a weighty ~150 subs you should be more or less done!
Huh, only God knows how hard I worked on this one @skaak! And yet, it's a hard one. Filling never worked for me, so tried a different approach.. all the best. Let's see
Hi @JuliusFx - well, according to this https://www.statssa.gov.za/?page_id=1874 it is Wednesday next week that the *real* numbers come out ... I suppose it is a repeat of what is described here https://zindi.africa/competitions/rmb-monthly-mini-challenge-3-nowcast-june/discussions/17670 I even got a mail again congratulating me and asking for my solution.

Ai! I did it again, and made a mistake. The actual private lb will be revealed when the actual CPI is released.
Sorry!
No worries amy. Mistakes happen to the best of us.Thanks.
Yeah, you know, I work very hard in a comp to improve my score by 1%, then I find a bug and fix it and my score jumps 10% :-)
Thanks Amy, no apologies needed, as JF says, mistakes happen ...

Well, seems your hard work paid off! Congrats! Wow, really really really good performance.
You did even better in July RMB challenge...seems I am a perennial no. 6!
