LastPaymentDate: A Leak or Not?

The challenge is meant to predict the amount of payment in the next 6 months and as such future prediction. Since we are predicting the future, details about the future ain't meant to be known such as the LastPaymentDate. Is this a mistake or was this data value (LastPaymentDate) left on purpose?
Im guessing it was left in accidentally. but you are correct, there is a lot of information in that variable that you wouldnt have in real life.
I agree with you. There will be a lot of valuable insight from it. However, the competition has gone far and I am not sure the sponsors might address this. Well, I am looking at how useful the solution will be for their business decision.
