Eligibility Clarification: “Open to All” vs Country Restriction
24 Mar 2026, 12:29 · 1

Hello, I have a question regarding the eligibility for the AI4EAC Skills2Job Intelligent Career Pathways Challenge [INTERMEDIATE].

According to the rules, it states:

  • “Who can compete: Open to all”
  • “This challenge is open to all”

However, when I try to join the challenge, I receive a message saying: “Sorry! This challenge is country-specific.”

Could you please clarify whether the challenge is truly open to participants from all countries, or if there are actually geographic restrictions?

Is this an issue with the rules description, or with the system restriction?

Thank you for your help!

Hello @WBruno,

Sorry for the confusion. This challenge is open to participants from the East African Community. This means that you must be registered at an educational institution within the East African Community. It is not open to all. However if you are from the East African Community but you are currently out of your country, you can still participate as long as you are still a registered student.
