Thank you all so much for raising concerns about suspicious challenge activity. Fairness is a core value at Zindi, so we take the integrity of Zindi challenges extremely seriously, and we appreciate the community’s support in making Zindi a safe, competitive space.

Over the past week and based on your concerns, our team has conducted detailed investigations into several accounts and submission patterns across multiple challenges. This is in addition to the regular checks we have in place to prevent cheating and suspicious platform activity. Following these investigations, enforcement action has been taken against a number of users for violations of Zindi’s competition rules, including prohibited coordinated activity and submission sharing.

As a reminder, Zindi’s rules state:

First offence: No prizes for 6 months and 2000 points removed from a user profile (probation period). Users caught cheating will be disqualified from affected challenges and prohibited from winning prizes or points during the probation period.

Second offence: Permanent ban from the platform. Repeat offenders will have their accounts disabled and will not be permitted to participate using any other account.

We understand how important fairness is to this community, especially for participants who invest significant time, resources, and effort into our challenges. We also appreciate the members who have raised concerns and helped flag suspicious activity. Your reports do get reviewed, and they help us improve our detection and enforcement processes.

While we cannot publicly discuss individual accounts or investigations, please know that we are actively monitoring challenges and continuing to strengthen our anti-cheating measures. We are committed to maintaining a fair and competitive environment for everyone.
