Question about prizes and Top-10 review
Help · 28 Jan 2026, 06:40 · 2

I have a quick question about the competition rules:

  1. Are prizes awarded only to the 1st place in each track (Track 1 / Track 2 / Track 3), meaning there are 3 total winners?
  2. The rules mention a Top-10 review/code submission request — does being in the Top 10 come with any official recognition, or is it only for verification/compliance?
  3. Is the final ranking determined strictly by the private leaderboard after verification?

Thanks!

Here, based on Zindi rules, I checed

  1. Prizes: Prizes are typically awarded to the top 3 places (1st, 2nd, 3rd) in each track, not just 1st place. The total prize pool (€35,000) is usually distributed among these top finishers.
  2. Top-10 Review: Being in the Top 10 is significant for verification/compliance. Zindi reviews the top 10 solutions after the competition ends and will request code from these participants. Failing to submit reproducible code within the deadline results in disqualification. While the primary purpose is verification, finishing in the Top 10 is an official recognition of a high-performing solution.
  3. Final Ranking: Yes, the final ranking is determined by the private leaderboard after the competition closes. The public leaderboard (using ~20% of the test data) is for reference during the competition, but the private leaderboard (using the remaining ~80%) determines the official results and prize allocation.
