Announcing the Winners of The ARC Challenge: Africa!
Platform · 25 Aug 2025, 13:34 · 1

Hello everyone,

On behalf of the Hackade team, we are here to announce the official winners of The ARC Challenge: Africa.

First and foremost, we want to extend our sincere apologies for the significant delay in this announcement. We know you have all been waiting patiently, and we are truly grateful for your understanding.

We are thrilled to announce that the Grand Prize Winner of The ARC Challenge: Africa is @Shapu from Tunisia! Shapu finished in first place on the leaderboard with an outstanding performance. A massive congratulations on this incredible achievement!

In addition, we want to celebrate the winner of the $100 prize for the Most Relevant & Helpful Discussion. This prize goes to @ML_Wizzard for his incredible contribution: "My ARC-AGI Starter Notebook Using a Zero-Shot Learning Approach – LB Score: 0.30". This notebook stood out not just for its high engagement but because it was compact, helpful for getting started on this difficult problem, and sparked new discussions. It perfectly embodied the spirit of community knowledge-sharing.

A Note on the Sponsorship

Our initial goal for this competition was to sponsor multiple winners to attend the Deep Learning Indaba. However, due to unforeseen logistical constraints that arose during the planning phase, we were ultimately able to finalize sponsorship for one winner from the top of the leaderboard.

We are also pleased to confirm that the grand prize sponsorship, awarded to Shapu, was successfully utilized, enabling a representative from Tunisia's AI community to attend the Deep Learning Indaba in Kigali last week. We're proud to have facilitated this important opportunity.

Thank you once again to every single person who participated, commented, and contributed. It has energized us to bring you even more events in the future.

Stay tuned, and congratulations again to our winners!

Best regards. See you on the leaderboard.
