@Joel I'm seeing multiple different WholeSale prices for the same County + Date + Commodity combination (see image).
Is this a data collection error, or expected behavior? Also, will the test set follow the same structure?
How will this be handled in the test set?
Thanks!
Is that the kamis data or agribora?
agribora, have you encountered the same issue? how did you handle it
Do an avarage of both or just eliminate one entirely by doing away with duplicates in
For training and test alignment, we need to know which aggregation is to be used for test or if its dropping duplicates, do we drop first or last duplicates.
Also for data understanding, we need to know why there are different price values for the same week
Very true I suppose they should have told us that info as heads up .I am still a newbie I can't say much. I see your experience proceeds you in this field maybe they'll see our chats brother.
Hello @Brainiac, thanks for bringing this up. Will look at it now.
Hi @Brainiac, the issue has been resolved.
Thank you @Joel the quick response, should we redownload the data or we do the aggregations
I think you can redownload the data.
Thank you for the update
The challenge info statement paragraph 2: "Using historical prices of dry maize in Kenya, your task is to develop a machine learning solution to predict average weekly prices of maize in the counties of Kiambu, Kirinyaga, Mombasa, Nairobi and Uasin-Gishu." So you can just take the average of these values, after all, that's what the problem is interested in
@Dah-ta, the issue has been addressed and the updated file has been published.
