I have two related questions:
1- This week (51), we should make forecasts for weeks 52 and week 1. However, the competition will close before the announcement of the actual prices for these weeks. I feel like it has no meaning to submit these weeks today, but it is required to do so, as mentioned in the evaluation part, as follows:
For example, in Week 49 you will forecast Week 50 and Week 51, in Week 50 you will forecast Week 51 and Week 52, and so on. This two-week-ahead rolling cycle will continue throughout the competition.
Am I correct?
2- If the leaderboard update on the following Tuesday (23rd of Dec.) evaluates on weeks 50 and 51, should we submit our predictions for these weeks only, setting weeks 52, 1, and 2 to zero during submission?
Have seen the sense on that let's wait and see on Tues
Hi @ahmad_reda and @FageraTech_100, the true values for week 50 and 51 will be available tomorrow. The leaderboard will then be re-scored. Following this, you will be requested to make predictions for week 52 and week 01. When the competition close on 28 Dec, you will no longer be able to update your model. The final leaderboard re-scoring will occur in January when both values for week 52 and week 01 are available.
Please sir, the current leaderboard is scored against what? Weeks 48 & 49?
The notebook was scored against weeks 48 and 49 last weeks. Today, it will be scored against the true values of weeks 50 - 51.
