About

This objective of the project is to estimate PM2.5 levels from satellite observations based on Aerosol Optical Depth (AOD) for eight cities in seven African countries i.e., Kampala, Lagos, Accra, Nairobi, Yaounde, Bujumbura, Kisumu, and Gulu. PM2.5 refers to atmospheric particulate matter that has a diameter of less than 2.5 micrometers and is one of the most harmful air pollutants. PM2.5 is a common measure of air quality that normally requires ground-based sensors to measure.

Train set contains the cities, Kampala, Lagos, Nairobi and Bujumbura. The test contains the cities Kisumu, Gulu, Accra and Yaoundé.

The sentinel 5p data provided was extracted from Google Earth Engine. The following pollutants were extracted from their respective images.

More info on Sentinel 5p data can be found here.

Is an example of what your submission file should look like. The order of the rows does not matter, but the names of the "ID" must be correct.
Train contains the target. This is the dataset that you will use to train your model.
Test resembles Train.csv but without the target-related columns. This is the dataset on which you will apply your model to.
This is a starter notebook to help you make your first submission.
