Landslide distribution in the images
17 Jul 2025, 23:15 · 2

Hello,

Could you please let me know how the landslide is typically distributed in the images? For example:

  • Is the landslide usually centered or localized in a specific region of the image?
  • Does it often occupy a small or large portion of the scene?
Discussion 2 answers

I am pretty convinced that the landslides are not centered or anyhow localized. I guess that landslides are usually smaller in size (few pixels). Take into account that each pixel is 10x10 meter in size.

Thank you for your answer ,I believe both cases occur: some landslides are large and span significant portions of the image, while others occupy only a few pixels. I've created two models—one assuming the landslides are widespread across the images, and the other assuming they are localized and small, both models yield approximately similar results.
