However, i suppose you might be referring to the other competitions that also say "open to all" but restrict access to some users?
I haven't. For this particular competition, and the others.
Each time I try to join I get this;
"Sorry! This challenge is country-specific 🌍 It looks like this hackathon isn't open to users in your country. We know this might be disappointing, but don't worry! We have many other exciting challenges and competitions that are open to everyone"
I checked the rules on the competition page and it says "Open to all", but I can't join the competition. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

I was able to join 2 out of the 4 challenges. Maybe this constraint is there
