I was examining the leaderboard and noticed that 42 out of 89 competitors received medals. This means that almost 50% (half!) of the participants were awarded medals.

In my opinion, too many people are receiving medals. If earning a medal becomes easy, then it loses its value, and people may start to not care about it.

Perhaps Zindi has a different perspective on medals compared to Kaggle, but I felt it was important to share my thoughts on this.
