Clarification regarding vetted datasets
Data · 21 Mar 2023, 16:04 · 2
You can use any dataset you download from these links.
BER Business Confidence Index (https://www.ber.ac.za/BER%20Documents/RMB/BER-Business-Confidence-Index/?doctypeid=1050)
Absa Purchasing Managers Index (https://www.ber.ac.za/BER%20Documents/Absa-PMI/?doctypeid=1066)
BER Inflation Expectations (https://www.ber.ac.za/BER%20Documents/Inflation-Expectations/?doctypeid=1065)
SARB Data (https://www.resbank.co.za/en/home/what-we-do/statistics/releases/selected-statistics)

Do datasets downloaded from these links need to be declared through the form explicitly?

Hi @stiwari. These whitelisted datasets (available on these links) do not need to be declared. Thanks for checking!

Hi @TherveshanRMB, further to your above response, are only the named datasets from these data sources covered by the whitelisting? Or are all data publications from either SARB/StatsSA covered? E.g. Is a request for inclusion required for SARB Interest Rates or StatsSA PPI?

And to confirm, there is no limitation on the length of historic data that can be used for model training?
