The competition closes in 4 days (31 October)!

If you are in the top 10 please look at your email to send through your solution. You will have until Thursday 2 November to submit it.

Remember to add comprehensive documentation as below:

A README markdown file is required

It should cover:

  • How to set up folders and where each file is saved
  • Order in which to run code
  • Explanations of features used
  • Environment for the code to be run (conda environment.yml file or an environment.txt file)
  • Hardware needed (e.g. Google Colab or the specifications of your local machine)
  • Expected run time for each notebook. This will be useful to the review team for time and resource allocation.

Your code needs to run properly, code reviewers do not have time to debug code. If code does not run easily you will be bumped down the leaderboard.

dragon!!!!

Been playing this one hard, I have to beat @ASSAZZIN at least once in my life. But AZ jumped me bad - life can be too short sometimes.

I'm glad ABSA was delayed, then this comp can finish in peace.

I see you are playing ABSA - warmed up and ready to go?

So you plan on being #1 on the leaderboard huh? I on the other hand will try to break top 100 sooner rather than later(In zindi not this comp)

Dude I am as ready as I can ever be for the ABSA competition(s). The classification competition is calling my name but I feel like doing both,I don't how I'll do both because forecasting is my weakness. Which competitions are you planning on competing in? Both or just One?

Well, there was a brief moment in this comp when I was above AZ .. didn't last, but I cling on to the bragging rights.

I almost stopped completely, too much trouble with loadshedding and long-running models, but now I have solar! My friend, this is incredible. Expensive yes, but now I have power 247 and running models 247, e.g. in this comp. Life changing! I think it is the solution to our problems.

The ABSA classification intriques me and I want to do it, even though I have no clear idea where to start yet. The timeseries one seems boring, but I should give it a go and should do better there.

Time wise perhaps I'll do just one, haven't really given it much consideration yet, and, with all the fuss, I thought ABSA would pay better. I mean, look at OP. We freely give away IP, code, docs, video, ideas, insights ... you name it. My paying job is not even this demanding. And the only up I seem to get is that for a moment I was ahead of AZ.

I see you are now #149 - at least that is a prime number.

Kudos to you for getting solar, I on the other hand am still at the mercy of Eskom. I have reached a point where I am kind of offended when Eskom doesn't cut the electricity.

Hahahaha why are you hating on ABSA?. I believe this competition will be the precursor for future comps and maybe the prize pool will get bigger . That or they are just stingy(0_0) . It's just speculation on my end.

yeah #149 is an improvement... Small steps help. Maybe I'll be able to pass you in the near future

No no, not hating on ABSA. Just too cynical, look at this comp. Year ago pool was USD20, now USD10k and requirements are more steep - you have to make video etc. So prize goes down and requirements goes up.

I just hoped ABSA would lift the playing field a bit.
