I want to express how deeply saddened, disheartened, and concerned I am by recent events related to the competition and how my feedback was handled.
As a Black man, I cannot separate the feeling that my voice was deliberately silenced from the larger, painful context of being unheard and unseen in spaces that claim to be open and inclusive. After raising valid concerns about mislabeled data, it's poor quality, and inconsistent rule changes—issues that directly affect the fairness and integrity of the competition—my comments were removed without explanation. This action doesn’t just feel dismissive; it feels like erasure.
When criticism is met not with dialogue, but with deletion, it sends a clear message about who is welcome to speak and who isn’t. And when that silencing happens to someone from a marginalized community, it echoes a pattern we know all too well. This is not just about a competition—it’s about trust, transparency, and respect.
I am asking not only for my concerns to be heard, but for a real conversation about how these decisions were made, and why my voice was treated as disposable. Because right now, it feels like my presence—and the presence of people like me—is only tolerated when it’s silent.
We deserve better than that.
100% agree dude
Thank you brother.
Which comments were deleted?
All comments I have seen from you are "fent" - whatever that means.
I shared my concerns and observations under the recent post by @Mohamed_abdelrazik titled "Deliberate mislabeling or inaccurate labeling leads to meaningless competition". Unfortunately, the comment was deleted shortly afterward.
I saw your comment, and to be honest, it was very rude! Regarding the deletion, I don’t agree with it, but you also need to respect this platform, especially since you only joined a few hours ago. Making such bold accusations without spending much time in the community is not a good look. At least take some time to understand the platform before making such claims. How can you call this platform 'shitty' when you've barely been here for a few hours?
I agree with Koleshjr—you shouldn’t judge an entire platform after just a few hours of being here. Communities have their own norms and moderation policies, and it takes time to understand how things work. Instead of assuming bad faith, it would be more productive to ask why your comment was removed and engage in a discussion.
That being said, concerns about competition fairness and transparency are valid, but they should be raised in a way that encourages dialogue rather than making immediate accusations. If your comment was deleted unfairly, seek clarification rather than assuming erasure based on identity.
Jumping to conclusions too quickly might do more harm than good, especially when trying to build trust within a new community.
I agree with @Koleshjr. Instead of taking responsibility, he is now trying to turn this into a racial issue. How could anyone even know you’re Black? And honestly, that shouldn’t matter. The real issue is that you’re spamming every second post with 'fent'. Instead of blaming the platform, take a moment to reflect on your own actions first.
well said
@zulo40 feels more like the real spammer up in here is you, droppin half-baked chatgpt notebooks like they hot mixtapes and beggin for likes
atleast my work didnt offend anyone . and those notebooks still got me better rank than you .
you didnt offend anyone cause no one felt anything reading that dry ai paste, congrats on the rank tho, must be nice being king of the copy-paste crew
Yep, it feels nice. At least my work was appreciated. And you? You contributed nothing. All you can do is seek attention by whining and making a scene. So go ahead—keep crying.
Don't listen to the naysayers, @zulo40. I genuinely learned a lot from your notebook, thank you so much for sharing!
Thanks a lot, buddy! This really means a lot to me. Actually, I'm a third-year student, and I use AI quite often. But that doesn't mean I don't know what I'm doing or how it works. I use AI because it's a tool meant to be used. Why write 100 lines of code when you can explain your idea to AI in five, get the generated code, make some tweaks, and have a fully working version in half the time? That's how AI should be used—leveraging its power while understanding what you're doing and why
Use all the tools available to you. At the end when you win it does not matter if you used AI or not!
@zulo40
Don't mind the criticism, I still read all topics you share and find useful things in them. Keep up the good work!
ohh so the mods couldnt handle the heat and axed my comment?? guess when you cant clap back with facts just hit delete, just proved mods ghostin critical comments, reposting deleted comment below see how long survives this time
cute lil echo chamber yall got going here, @zulo40 props on your copypaste hustle gettin you fanboys hyped, keep flexin that fake clout prompt king
Lil bro mad he ain't get an invite to the hype train 🤡 Stay pressed while we keep winning. @zulo40 still rent-free in your head, huh?
Jealousy’s a bad look, but hey, at least you’re good at one thing—being forgettable. 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
lil bro you aint rent free in my head you just squatter in your own delusions, next time try clappin back without your ai babysitter
Wow. That escalated quickly. I need to understand how did you come up with skin color right away. There were many ways to improve this particular challenge and I understand the frustration from many competitors. But I saw your earlier comment and it was just far from appropriate
Your comment was very inappropriate to say the least.
I don't think there's a need to bring Race into this. Zindi is an african platform, I know some of the people who work there. So, again no need to go there.
Your comment was not a criticism, it was a simple insult to the platform and the people who work there.
Exactly right! That’s what I was trying to say—the race factor doesn’t apply here and shouldn’t be a consideration.
Exactly. This seems like a weird attempt for attention
